The Presidency has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu is working remotely from Europe and remains actively involved in governing the country.
A statement issued by the President’s media team said Tinubu travelled from Paris to London over the weekend and is in constant communication with senior government officials. It added that he has given directives to security chiefs in response to emerging threats in some parts of Nigeria.
The Presidency explained that the President’s absence is temporary and falls within the communicated two-week timeframe. He is expected to return to Abuja after the Easter holidays, which end on Monday, April 21.
The statement assured Nigerians that government operations are ongoing without interruption.
