President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to embark on an official visit to Anambra State on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The visit was formally announced by Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, during his address to members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) at the 2025 Workers’ Day celebration held at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.

Governor Soludo revealed that the President’s visit would be centered on the commissioning of several key infrastructure projects completed by the state government over the past three years. These projects, according to the governor, reflect the achievements of his administration and the strategic partnerships it has forged to drive development within the state.

“The President will be officially commissioning some of the completed projects executed by my administration in the three years in office,” Soludo announced. “This is proof that my administration is forging a partnership that works.”

In addition to the commissioning ceremony, President Tinubu is expected to engage with critical stakeholders across Anambra State. These meetings will focus on assessing the level of progress in the state and exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration between the federal and state governments.

Soludo emphasized the importance of the President’s visit as a milestone in Anambra’s development agenda and encouraged residents to come out in large numbers to give President Tinubu a warm and enthusiastic reception.

The planned visit marks Tinubu’s first official trip to the South-East state since assuming office and is expected to draw considerable attention from political, business, and community leaders in the region.
