President Bola Tinubu arrived at Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, Anambra State, on Thursday for an official visit aimed at commissioning key infrastructural projects executed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration. Accompanied by top officials including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Tinubu touched down at about 12:17 p.m., wearing traditional Akwete Igbo attire and a red cap.
He was welcomed by Governor Soludo, Deputy Governor Onyekachukwu Ibezim, state lawmakers, and dignitaries. Following military honors, Tinubu departed for various sites to unveil projects such as the new State Government House, Solution Fun City, a newly built Governor’s Lodge — the first in 34 years — and the renovated House of Assembly.
A town hall meeting between the president and Anambra stakeholders is also scheduled at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. Ahead of the event, party members were advised not to wear party uniforms. The state capital has been extensively decorated in preparation for the visit.
