Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has expressed deep sadness over the tragic death of Miss Somtochukwu Maduagwu, who was killed during an armed robbery at her home in Abuja. In a condolence message, Soludo described Maduagwu, a 29-year-old lawyer and news anchor for ARISE News Channel, as a “shining star” whose life was cut short too soon.

In his statement, Soludo praised Maduagwu for her dedication to journalism and her contributions to informing and educating the public. He lamented that her violent death represents a significant loss not only to her family but also to the state and the journalism profession.
