Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has declared that he would rather lose his life than accept what he described as injustice in the governorship process of the All Progressives Congress in Gombe State.
Pantami made the remark while reacting to the party’s consensus arrangement for the governorship ticket.
He expressed confidence that he would emerge as the party’s candidate if a direct primary election is conducted, insisting that the consensus approach was unfair.
Speaking during an interview with BBC Hausa, Pantami said he was ready to challenge the decision.
“I will challenge this injustice of Gombe APC governorship consensus even if I lose my life doing it. If it’s direct primary, everybody knows, we will win,” he said.
He further warned that he would not hesitate to seek legal redress if the issue is not resolved within the party.
“If there’s no justice, I will fight it legally, a fight like never seen before in Nigeria,” Pantami added.
