A petroleum tanker carrying 45,000 litres of petrol has overturned in the Eleyele area of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. The incident occurred on Tuesday opposite AIB Filling Station, as reported by Maroof Akinwande, Chairman of the state Fire Service.
The tanker, with the registration number LAGOS T21044 LA, swerved off the road and fell into a nearby ditch, resulting in a substantial spillage of its contents. Fire service personnel were promptly deployed to the scene to manage the situation.
Akinwande confirmed that the tanker has since been removed and normal vehicular movement has been restored. He emphasized that daily activities in the area are now proceeding without disruption.
