Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked the National Park Service Office in Oloka, located in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. Reports indicate that the assault took place around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, resulting in the tragic deaths of approximately five personnel from the National Park Service.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident and noted that the Commissioner of Police, along with other service chiefs, is currently en route to the site. Ayanlade stated, “Yes, there was an attack by yet to be identified men against the men of the National Park.” The police have initiated a rapid response to address the situation.

In response to the security breach, the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, has deployed tactical teams and Mobile Police Force officers to the affected area. This action aims to prevent any further breakdown of law and order in the region.
