Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his dedication to development in Rivers State. Lawal made these remarks while attending the commissioning of the Opobo Ring Road and Bridges project on Monday in the Opobo/Nkoro local government area.
In his speech, Lawal highlighted that the completion of the project showcases Fubara’s commitment to infrastructural development, which is crucial for improving the socio-economic conditions of Rivers residents.
“Infrastructure development is a cornerstone of economic growth and social progress. The Opobo Ring Road and Bridges will enhance connectivity, promote trade, and facilitate access to essential services,” he stated.
He emphasized that better transportation links would spur economic activities and attract investments, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for the people of Opobo.
Lawal also noted that Fubara’s visionary leadership aligns with his own administration’s goals in Zamfara, where significant progress is being made in improving infrastructure. He pointed to projects like the ongoing Gusau International Airport and a network of roads as evidence of their commitment to development.
“Robust infrastructure is fundamental to uplifting the standard of living of our people,” Lawal said, praising Fubara for setting an inspiring example for other states.
Governor Fubara expressed his gratitude to Lawal for attending the event, explaining that the project was initiated by the previous administration but was redesigned and upgraded under his leadership.
