Stakeholders of the Abia North Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have declared their readiness to engage with grassroots members, consolidate their structures, and initiate early mobilization for the upcoming 2027 general elections. This commitment was expressed in a communique issued following a meeting at the home of Mandela Obasi, the member representing Ohafia North in the House of Assembly.

The communique, signed by notable party leaders including state chairman Abraham Amah and former House of Representatives member Uko Nkole, emphasized their unwavering dedication to the unity and progress of the PDP in Abia State. They collectively resolved to work diligently to reclaim the Abia State Government House in the 2027 elections.

To facilitate this goal, the stakeholders plan to establish local strategy and reconciliation committees aimed at harmonizing interests and resolving any lingering issues within the party. They expressed strong support for Amah’s leadership and commended the efforts of the State Working Committee in revitalizing the party.

The communique also passed a vote of confidence in the chairmen of five local government areas—Arochukwu, Ohafia, Bende, Isuikwuato, and Umunneochi—recognizing their commitment to grassroots mobilization.

In addition, the stakeholders called for increased participation of youths and women in party activities, reflecting their belief in inclusive leadership. They praised the unity among House caucus members, urging them to continue their oversight roles effectively as ambassadors of the PDP.
