The Action Alliance (AA) candidate, Hon. Uzodinma Nwafor, has been declared the winner of the Etche Local Government Area chairmanship race in the recently concluded Rivers State local government elections by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).
The unprecedented outcome means that the Action Peoples Party won 22 of the 23 chairmanships available throughout the state, leaving Etche as the lone local government district where a different party won.
Hon. Nwafor is currently seated alongside other chairmen-elect as the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) prepares to issue certificates of return to the winners in a ceremony taking place currently.
