Aminu Dantata, a renowned businessman and philanthropist from Kano, has passed away at the age of 94. His death was confirmed by his Private Secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi-Junaid, who expressed deep sorrow in a statement. Dantata was respected for his contributions to commerce, education, and humanitarian efforts, significantly expanding the family business empire inherited from his father, Alhassan Dantata.

Throughout his life, he diversified the family’s interests into various sectors, including construction, banking, and agriculture. Dantata was also involved in public service, having served in the Kano State Government and participated in the drafting of Nigeria’s 1979 Constitution.
