In a tragic incident, Inspector Stephen Enang of the Nigerian Police Force passed away on Tuesday night while watching the UEFA Champions League match between Arsenal and Real Madrid at a viewing center in Calabar. Enang, a devoted Arsenal supporter attached to the Akim Police Division, was known to frequent the viewing center located on Abang-Asang Street.

Witnesses reported that Enang, who showed no signs of illness prior to the game, was excitedly cheering for Arsenal as they scored multiple goals. However, after the final whistle, he was found unconscious in his seat. Friends attempted to revive him before rushing him to the Police hospital at Akim, where medical staff confirmed his death.

An anonymous friend described him as a quiet and soft-spoken individual who loved football. Efforts to reach the state Police command for comment were unsuccessful, as the spokesperson did not respond to calls or messages.

This incident has shocked the local community, highlighting the unpredictability of life and the passion for football that unites fans.
