A Max Air aircraft, registered as 5N-MBD, experienced a tyre burst late Tuesday night while landing at Mallam Aminu International Airport in Kano, carrying 53 passengers.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:57 PM, shortly after the flight had departed from Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos. Passengers reported that the aircraft suffered the tyre burst upon landing, but fortunately, all individuals onboard were evacuated safely without any injuries.
Initial reports suggest that the aircraft may have lost a tyre from the nose landing gear during the landing process, leading to the incident. As of now, representatives from Max Air and the Nigeria Safety Investigation Bureau were unavailable for comments regarding the situation.
