Inter Milan have advanced to the final of the UEFA Champions League after a thrilling 7–6 aggregate victory over Barcelona, capped by a dramatic 4–3 win in the second leg at San Siro on Tuesday night.
The match delivered a tense and action-packed spectacle. Having drawn the first leg 3–3 in Spain, Inter surged ahead early in the return fixture with two goals, but Barcelona mounted an impressive second-half comeback. Eric Garcia pulled one back in the 54th minute, followed by Dani Olmo’s equalizer in the 60th. Raphinha then gave Barcelona a 3–2 lead in the 87th minute, which would have seen them through, but Inter’s Francesco Acerbi dramatically levelled the game in stoppage time, scoring in the 90+3 minute to force extra time.
With both teams tied 6–6 on aggregate at full time, the match proceeded into extra time. Inter Milan found the decisive goal during the added 30 minutes to edge ahead 7–6 over the two legs and secure their spot in the final. They will now face the winner of the second semi-final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
The Italian side’s victory marks their first Champions League final appearance since 2010 and adds to the growing excitement around what promises to be a memorable showdown in European football’s biggest club competition.
