The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate deployment of the Intelligence Response Team to ensure the safe rescue of Afenifere Youth Leader, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, who was kidnapped on February 17, 2025, while traveling to Abuja.
The IGP has prioritized Ojajuni’s rescue and assured the public of the police’s commitment to securing his release using all necessary resources. ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi emphasized the police’s dedication to Ojajuni’s safe return, urging Nigerians to refrain from sharing unverified information on social media, as it could jeopardize the operation.
The police have reported successes, including the arrest of 20 suspects in Taraba State and the rescue of three kidnap victims in Oyo State.
The Nigeria Police Force is actively pursuing criminal elements, reaffirming its commitment to public safety and security. All efforts are focused on the swift and safe recovery of Prince Ojajuni.
