The Forum of Heads of Government Agencies in Kano State has endorsed Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections. The endorsement is a result of a review of the governor’s performance and leadership during his time in office. The forum, made up of chief executives of all parastatals and agencies in the state, is united behind the governor’s re-election.
Turkur Bala, chairman of the Kano State Tourism Management Board, stated that the forum resolved to give 100 percent support to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf because of his visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people.
One of Governor Yusuf’s significant decisions was to declare a state of emergency in the education sector. This has resulted in Kano’s first-place performance in the recently concluded NECO examinations. The government has supplied teaching materials, rehabilitated public schools, and promoted qualified teachers while restoring the rights of those previously denied benefits. The chairman of the forum also commended Governor Yusuf’s administration for settling pension arrears, noting that out of ₦41 billion inherited liabilities, ₦27 billion has already been cleared.
