FG Declares Thursday and Friday Public Holidays for Eid-el-Fitr

The federal government has announced Thursday and Friday as public holidays to allow Muslims to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.

The minister extended warm greetings and congratulations to Muslim faithful on completing the holy month of Ramadan. He encouraged Nigerians to uphold the values of love, generosity, peace, tolerance, and sacrifice, and to celebrate responsibly while supporting the less privileged.

He also urged citizens to pray for the nation’s peace, unity, and prosperity, reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to fostering national unity and peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians.
