The Rivers State House of Assembly has unanimously endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office. During its 37th Legislative Session, the House expressed its appreciation for the numerous federal projects attracted under the Tinubu administration. This endorsement was captured in a motion signed by 26 members and presented by House Leader Mr. Major Jack.
The assembly members acknowledged the need for a vote of confidence in the President to ensure continuity. They highlighted Tinubu’s involvement during recent political crises in the state, viewing his actions as a fatherly intervention that demonstrated a commitment to peace and stability.
Lawmakers also applauded Tinubu for appointing notable indigenes of Rivers State to significant positions, which they believe strengthens ties with the federal government and boosts local political morale. Speaker Martin Amaewhule praised Tinubu as a compassionate leader dedicated to the country’s growth and commended his strategic economic policies as impactful and people-oriented.
The assembly pledged to rally grassroots support for the “Renewed Hope Agenda” and expressed loyalty to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
