Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, declaring that no other Nigerian government has invested in agriculture as significantly in two years. Speaking at the distribution of presidential palliatives at the Umaru Yarádua Conference Centre, the governor credited Tinubu’s interventions with reducing poverty in Northern Nigeria, particularly the North-West where poverty once hovered between 65% and 70%.

According to Sani, Tinubu’s strategy extends beyond temporary relief, including structural supports such as aid to smallholder farmers, fertilizer distribution, and impartial funding to states. He emphasized that these reforms have bolstered infrastructure, created jobs, and cut poverty. He called for unity among government tiers and reaffirmed Kaduna’s ambition to remain Nigeria’s agricultural hub, noting agriculture’s 43% contribution to national GDP and its employment of over 60% of the workforce.

Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, echoed these sentiments, commending Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda and his non-blame approach to tackling economic challenges. Representing the President, Political Adviser Alhaji Ibrahim Masari announced the distribution of over 12,000 bags of rice across Kaduna’s 255 wards, encouraging transparent and fair handling of the aid.
