Rufai Oseni, the anchor of ARISE News Channel’s ‘The Morning Show,’ has alleged a politically motivated attempt to silence him through the deactivation of his Facebook account, which he described as “malicious.”
In a post on his verified Facebook page, Oseni urged his supporters to take action against what he believes is an orchestrated effort to suppress his voice. He called for 50,000 people to write to Facebook, asserting that the attempt to bring down his account is politically motivated.
Oseni, known for his outspoken views on governance and accountability, expressed concern that these attacks are part of a broader initiative to stifle his commentary. “They want to silence me,” he stated, rallying his followers to support him in combating these actions.
The broadcaster’s forthright opinions often attract both praise and criticism, highlighting the contentious nature of media and political discourse in Nigeria.
