Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has introduced a new civic technology platform called Solution Lens, aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in governance. This initiative is part of the governor’s broader strategy to support open governance and keep citizens informed about government projects and services.

Launched in collaboration with the State Ministry of Budget & Economic Planning, the Ministry of Information, and the Anambra State ICT Agency, Solution Lens will allow citizens to report issues and ask questions to improve service delivery. The platform is managed by trained personnel to ensure seamless updates and monitoring.

At the launch, the Commissioner for Budget & Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, emphasized the importance of the platform in making governance more accessible and responsive. She encouraged media and civil society organizations to help promote awareness of Solution Lens.

“This platform will empower citizens and strengthen government processes,” Nnake stated, highlighting its role as a feedback mechanism for improved governance.

The platform is open to all citizens, including community members, students, and journalists, allowing them to create accounts for easier access to ongoing and completed projects.

Dr. Law Mefor, the State Commissioner for Information, noted that Solution Lens reflects Governor Soludo’s commitment to utilizing technology for effective governance and enhancing democratic dividends. Plans are underway to train government workers in digital skills, further encouraging technology adoption for growth.

Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, Chief Executive of the Anambra State ICT Agency, described Solution Lens as an interactive space for citizens to engage and support government initiatives, enabling them to stay informed about development efforts.

Prince Chris Azor, Coordinator of the Anambra State Civil Society Network, praised the initiative as a vital step toward strengthening accountability and transparency, urging civil society organizations to leverage the platform for effective civic engagement.
