In a striking revelation, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Senator for Kogi Central, has claimed that her privileges in the Senate have been unjustly stripped away. During an interview on the Brekete Family program in Abuja, she openly shared her frustrations regarding the challenges she faces within the legislative body.
Tensions flared during a recent Senate session when Akpoti-Uduaghan refused to accept a newly assigned seat, igniting a fiery exchange with Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The senator revealed that since a controversial nightclub incident last year, she has been sidelined from numerous international events, including a prestigious United Nations conference. With her participation limited, she has had to self-fund her engagements, leaving her feeling unsupported in her role.
“I simply want the chance to contribute effectively,” she expressed, highlighting the impact of these restrictions on her work.
