On Friday, the police re-arrested human rights advocate Omoyele Sowore immediately after he appeared before the Kuje Magistrate Court in Abuja. Sowore, who had been granted bail alongside Prince Emmanuel Kanu and others, met all court requirements, including a bail of ₦500,000 each and the provision of sureties.
Despite fulfilling these conditions, Sowore was apprehended again by police officers right after the court session and returned to the Kuje Correctional Centre. He is set to be arraigned on Monday, October 27, facing fresh charges linked to his recent claims that President Bola Tinubu is a criminal.
