The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced its zonal general aptitude test for the Basic Military Training Course recruitment exercise, with over twenty thousand applicants participating across the country.

The exercise is being held at designated zonal centers located in Sokoto, Minna, Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi, Maiduguri, Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Ilorin, Ipetu-Ijesa, Enugu, Benin, Port Harcourt, and Ikeja.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, stated that this widespread distribution demonstrates the NAF’s commitment to inclusiveness, equal opportunity, and a transparent, merit-driven recruitment process. He added that the impressive turnout highlights the confidence of Nigerian youths in the NAF as a disciplined and patriotic institution and the NAF’s determination to attract capable and resilient young Nigerians to enhance its manpower.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, reaffirmed that the recruitment process is guided by fairness, integrity, and adherence to established standards. He emphasized that the NAF is committed to recruiting the best candidates based on merit, as the quality of personnel is crucial for operational effectiveness. He also assured Nigerians of the NAF’s dedication to supporting internal security operations and protecting citizens.
