Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has expressed shock over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away at the age of 82. In a statement issued by Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, the National Publicity Secretary, the organization described Buhari’s death as a significant loss.

Dr. Chukwu offered prayers for the repose of the former president’s soul, highlighting Buhari’s extensive service to Nigeria. He served as a Military Head of State, Executive Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF), and as a democratically elected President from 2015 to 2023.

The statement emphasized Buhari’s contributions to the Nigerian project at critical times, noting that the history of the country is incomplete without his involvement. Ohanaeze Ndigbo called on Nigerians to pray for his soul and for God to grant his family the strength to bear this heavy loss.
