The senator representing Delta North Senatorial District, Ned Nwoko, and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels have engaged in a heated exchange as tensions rise over their ongoing marital crisis, which includes serious allegations of drug use and harassment.
Nwoko accused Daniels’ brother, Sammy, of harassing his children and domestic staff, claiming he funded Sammy’s education at the University of Ekpoma, including living expenses. He alleged that Sammy frequently visited his home in an aggressive manner, disrupting the household.
Nwoko further claimed that Sammy introduced Regina to drugs and undermined her rehabilitation efforts. He stated that despite his attempts to help Regina recover, her family members continued to enable her drug use. He recounted an incident where Sammy confronted him at 4 a.m., demanding to speak after being asked to leave.
The senator defended his decision to involve law enforcement, asserting that Sammy “needs professional rehabilitation” rather than sympathy. He dismissed allegations of violence, describing a video meant to discredit him as staged.
In response, Regina Daniels took to Instagram to admit to past drug use but rejected Nwoko’s claims as exaggerated and manipulative. She accused him of using her drug history to distract from the real issues in their marriage, asserting that the allegations were an attempt to tarnish her family’s reputation.
She accused Nwoko of isolating her from friends and family and claimed he encouraged her drug use for his own satisfaction. Regina alleged that Nwoko had locked her up and forced doctors to administer sedative drugs against her will.
Daniels insisted that there was no legal marriage between them and expressed that her time with Nwoko had cost her significant personal and professional opportunities. She stated, “No matter how much you think you spent on me, it can never equal the value of the time I gave you.”
This public dispute follows weeks of reports about their troubled marriage, with Regina previously accusing Nwoko of domestic violence. Nwoko, however, attributed her behavior to substance abuse.
The situation escalated further when Sammy was arrested in Lagos, later transferred to Abuja, and remanded in court. Amid these developments, Regina celebrated her estranged parents’ reconciliation, noting the emotional toll of her family’s crisis.
