Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has stated that the economic reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are yielding results, despite the hardships faced by Nigerians. Speaking at an APC South West stakeholders meeting in Lagos, Uzodinma likened Nigeria’s condition prior to Tinubu’s leadership to that of “a barren woman” needing revival.

Uzodinma expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their resilience amid rising inflation and fuel subsidy removal. He reassured them that the reforms, though painful, are showing positive outcomes, and emphasized the need for a united and prosperous Nigeria.

On national security, the governor addressed the recent increase in kidnappings and terrorist activities, expressing optimism that Nigeria can overcome these challenges. Uzodinma raised concerns over the funding sources for criminal activities, affirming the commitment of progressive governors to ensuring Nigeria’s victory over insecurity.
