The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State praised President Bola Tinubu, declaring him the leader the nation needs during this pivotal time in its history. This statement was issued in conjunction with Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.
APC spokesman Seye Oladejo emphasized that as Nigeria celebrates its sovereignty, it is also a moment for reflection on the nation’s past and a chance to strategize for the future. He noted, “At this defining moment, it is evident that Nigeria could not have asked for a better leader than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is the man for the moment – courageous, visionary, and determined to pull the nation out of the deep hole dug by years of misrule, reckless borrowing, and corruption.”
Oladejo commended Tinubu’s bold reforms, particularly the removal of fuel subsidies and significant investments in agriculture, food security, infrastructure, and the economy. He highlighted the President’s commitment to free technical education, which is supported by stipends for students, as a sign of long-term national foresight rather than short-term populism.
He criticized opposition politicians who, he claimed, seek to revert Nigeria to a past characterized by corruption and nepotism, stating, “Nigerians know them well… these are the characters plotting their return in 2027, but Nigerians are wiser now.”
Positioning Tinubu as the “reformer-in-chief,” Oladejo called for unity among Nigerians to support the President’s vision for a prosperous future. He urged citizens to remain vigilant against disinformation and to rally behind the APC as the country embarks on its journey toward greatness.
