Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, alongside his wife, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, recently held a townhall meeting with the Anambra diaspora community across the European Union and the United Kingdom. The event was aimed at fostering stronger ties with Ndi Anambra abroad and encouraging their participation in the transformation of the state.
Speaking at the event, Governor Soludo outlined his administration’s vision to build a livable and prosperous homeland, anchored on reforms in infrastructure, economic revitalization, education, and security. He urged diaspora members to invest in the state’s development and become key partners in driving positive change.
Mrs. Nonye Soludo also addressed the gathering, highlighting her initiatives around health, education, and social welfare through the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo campaign. She encouraged the diaspora to support programs that uplift women and children, and to remain connected to the progress back home.
The interactive session allowed attendees to share ideas, express concerns, and explore investment opportunities. Many expressed optimism and pledged support for the ongoing reforms in Anambra State.
The townhall meeting reflects Governor Soludo’s broader commitment to inclusive governance and the active involvement of Anambra indigenes in the diaspora as strategic stakeholders in the state’s future.
