Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State has approved the appointment of Mr. Joachin Chinedum Achor as the Acting Accountant General of the state.
The appointment takes immediate effect, according to a statement issued on Thursday, July 24, 2025, by Christian Aburime, Press Secretary to the Governor.
Mr. Achor, a seasoned civil servant, has steadily risen through the ranks in Anambra State’s public finance system — from entry-level officer to Director, Permanent Secretary, and now Acting Accountant General. His elevation is seen as a recognition of his years of diligence, competence, and commitment to public service.
The appointment is expected to further strengthen transparency and efficiency in the state’s financial management.
