Senator David Mark, the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has urged Nigerians to support the party in the upcoming bye-elections scheduled for Saturday. Speaking at an event for ADC candidates in Abuja, he emphasized the party’s commitment to providing better governance and called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a free, fair, and credible election.
Mark described the ADC as a product of necessity, created to offer Nigerians a viable alternative for governance. He appealed to voters in various states, including Anambra, Edo, and Oyo, to back ADC candidates, assuring them of the party’s dedication to fulfilling its promises.
He also stressed the importance of INEC’s role in restoring public trust in the electoral process, urging the commission to correct past mistakes that have negatively impacted its reputation. Mark commended the courage of the ADC candidates and encouraged them to adhere to electoral laws while remaining vigilant against manipulation and intimidation.
The ADC leader called on security agencies to ensure a level playing field for all candidates, allowing the people’s will to be expressed without interference.
