Residents of Rivers State went to the polls on October 5 to elect their local government representatives.
Despite controversy surrounding its legitimacy, the Action Peoples Party (APP) won 22 of the 23 local governments (LGAs) in the election.

Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni – Prince Isaac Umejuru (former Commissioner for Urban Development under Governor Fubara)
