Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has stepped down from his position. A source within the APC national headquarters confirmed the resignation but requested anonymity as they are not authorized to speak publicly. The National Working Committee is expected to announce an acting chairman soon.

Details surrounding Ganduje’s resignation remain unclear, but it has been reported that most of his personal belongings have been moved from the APC national secretariat. Party supporters gathered at the headquarters in Abuja, discussing the situation while awaiting official confirmation from the NWC.

Attempts to reach APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka for comment were unsuccessful. However, former media aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, confirmed the resignation on social media, stating that an acting chairman will be appointed from among the party’s national vice chairmen until a substantive chairman is elected at the national convention set for December 2025.
