Eniola Ojajuni, the National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, has been kidnapped in Abuja. The incident occurred on February 17, during which he reportedly sustained gunshot wounds, being shot twice in the buttocks before being taken captive.
The National Secretary of the council, Abiodun Aderohunmu, confirmed the abduction in a statement, expressing deep concern for Ojajuni’s safety. The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N100 million for his release.
Aderohunmu called for urgent action from the Federal Government and security agencies to ensure Ojajuni’s safe return, urging anyone with information to assist in the rescue efforts.
The kidnapping of Ojajuni highlights the increasing security challenges in Nigeria, with a troubling rise in high-profile abductions reported in recent months.
