The Accord Party is experiencing a significant increase in nationwide membership following the recent defection of Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke. National Chairman Maxwell Mgbudem announced this growth during a press conference in Abuja, emphasizing that Adeleke’s influence has enhanced the party’s profile ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Mgbudem highlighted the influx of new members as evidence of the party’s acceptance and national appeal since Adeleke joined along with his supporters. He also addressed controversies surrounding the expulsion of former presidential candidate Christopher Imumolen, accusing him of misinformation and misrepresenting his position within the party.
Reiterating the party’s unity and focus, Mgbudem declared Accord as the “most peaceful, united, and fastest-growing political party in Nigeria” and dismissed distractions from political opportunists.
