The presidency has asserted that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition is likely to implode within six months due to a lack of cohesive ideology. In an interview on Channels Television, Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, indicated that internal conflicts over presidential candidacy and the absence of alternative policies would weaken the coalition.

Bwala dismissed the ADC’s potential to challenge the current administration, stating they have failed to present viable alternatives to the government’s policies. He claimed that the excitement surrounding the coalition is superficial and will soon dissipate.

Meanwhile, Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State criticized the coalition as a gathering of disgruntled politicians who previously held power. He questioned their credibility and ability to offer meaningful change.

As political tensions rise, ADC leaders are assembling legal teams to combat what they describe as politically motivated lawsuits. The ADC’s interim chairman, David Mark, emphasized the need for transparency and collective ownership of the party, while also criticizing the ruling party for its policy failures.
