The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has rescinded its recent announcement regarding a 4% Free on Board (FOB) import charge. This decision comes as part of efforts to ensure clarity and consistency in customs operations while preventing disruptions in the clearance of goods.
In a statement issued by Assistant Comptroller of Customs, Abdullahi Maiwada, the NCS urged stakeholders to promptly recapture their entries using the designated customs processing platforms to facilitate the clearance process.
The statement emphasized that customs commands across the country have been instructed to assist importers and agents during this transition. The NCS aims to make the recapturing process seamless and effective, reinforcing its commitment to efficient customs operations.
