Panic and chaos erupted in Abuja on Friday after a building under construction, identified as Ugo West Hotel, suddenly collapsed in the Jikwoyi area, trapping several persons beneath the rubble.
Eyewitnesses described a terrifying moment as the structure gave way without warning, burying workers and occupants and sending shockwaves through the community. Residents and passersby immediately rushed to the scene in a desperate race against time to rescue those trapped.
