There is growing tension in Oro-Ago, a community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, after reports that armed bandits are regrouping to launch another attack.
Sources say the warning is based on credible intelligence. Security agencies have now been placed on red alert to stop the planned assault.
The area has suffered repeated attacks in recent weeks, with several cases of killings and abductions.
The latest threat follows a recent incident at a church in nearby Omugo, where eight worshippers were abducted. Three later escaped, but five victims are still in captivity, including the wife of the church pastor.
The attackers are demanding a ransom of ₦1 billion. They reportedly rejected ₦1 million earlier raised by the community and insisted the full amount must be paid.
