Governor Seyi Makinde has approved a monthly transport allowance of ₦10,000 for civil servants in Oyo State.
The measure is aimed at cushioning the impact of rising transportation costs following recent economic pressures, including increases in fuel prices.
The allowance forms part of efforts by the state government to ease the financial burden on workers amid the rising cost of living.
Under the arrangement, eligible civil servants will receive the ₦10,000 monthly payment as salary support to help offset commuting expenses.
The move adds to other welfare measures introduced by the administration in response to ongoing economic challenges.
