The Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) has described the resignation of Farouk Ahmed as Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) as a major loss to the downstream petroleum sector.
Speaking on the development, MEMAN’s Executive Secretary, Clement Isong, said Ahmed provided steady and professional leadership at a critical period marked by deregulation, subsidy removal, volatile pricing, and the rise of local refining.
