Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has publicly declared his wishes regarding his burial, stating that his body should be interred within four weeks of his death. In a six-minute video shared on YouTube, Fayose detailed his final arrangements, expressing that he wants the Ekiti State Government to handle his burial. He emphasized that following his death, no one should visit his grave.

In the video, released on his 65th birthday, Fayose remarked, “Death is inevitable. My body belongs to the Ekiti State government… I’m delivering a letter to the governor.” He insisted that regardless of when he passes away, the state should manage his remains and that he should be buried within four weeks to ensure proper arrangements.

He specified his final resting place as his grandmother’s home, where he has prepared a garden. Fayose urged that after his burial, no one should come to the site, asking for love and care to be shown to him while he is still alive.
