Governor Chukwuma Soludo has expressed strong confidence that his party will achieve a landslide victory in the ongoing Anambra governorship election, despite reports of widespread vote buying.
Casting his vote at Ofeiyi Ward 19, Polling Unit 002 in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, Soludo noted he had received calls indicating that some candidates were engaging in vote buying. He specifically mentioned instances of a candidate allegedly distributing N15,000 to voters in an attempt to secure support in Nnewi South.
Despite these challenges, including some malfunctioning BVAS machines, Soludo maintained that the overall election process was proceeding smoothly. He emphasized that the will of the people would prevail, stating, “even if they share N100,000, let the people just vote and count the votes.”
Reaffirming his optimism, Soludo declared that the election would reflect the people’s choice, confident in a victory based on the principle of “one man, one vote.”
