The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, stated that President Bola Tinubu has largely fulfilled his promises to the northern region of Nigeria. Speaking during a live Hausa language program on Radio Nigeria Kaduna, Idris emphasized the commitments made by Tinubu prior to the 2023 presidential election regarding security, education, and agriculture.
Idris highlighted that Tinubu has appointed numerous northerners to key positions in his administration, including the Minister of Defence and the National Security Adviser, with over 60 individuals from the region working closely with the president.
He addressed misinformation suggesting that Tinubu had sidelined the North, asserting, “We have demonstrated that such a narrative is not true. In fact, he has done so well for the North.”
The minister affirmed the government’s intention to continue informing citizens, especially in the North, about the achievements of the Tinubu administration.
