Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia Central Senatorial District have officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 elections. This endorsement was made during a meeting organized by the Renewed Hope Partners (RHP), a faction within the APC, where several political defectors from other parties were welcomed into the fold.
The meeting, led by Coordinator Pastor Pat Ikechi and Secretary Dr. Larry Isaac, resulted in a communique highlighting Tinubu’s significant achievements. These include increased revenue allocations to states, the unification of the exchange rate, repayment of a $3.4 billion IMF loan, and the initiation of major infrastructure projects such as the Lagos-Calabar coastal road and the Sokoto-Badagry Super Highway.
The group commended Tinubu’s tax reforms, the introduction of a Students Loan Scheme, and the notable increase in workers’ salaries, describing these initiatives as transformative for the nation. In their statement, they expressed unanimous support for Tinubu’s re-election, joining other party leaders in this endorsement.
Rep. Samuel Ifeanyi Onuigbo, a member of the North East Development Commission, officiated the event and praised Tinubu’s leadership. He emphasized the importance of experience in governance and urged RHP members to promote the president’s achievements across the region.
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, was also recognized for his efforts in establishing the Renewed Hope Partners, with Onuigbo assuring that their collective work would contribute significantly to mobilizing support for Tinubu’s future campaign.
This endorsement marks a significant move in the political landscape, as the APC aims to solidify its support for Tinubu ahead of the upcoming elections, reinforcing the party’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria.
