The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has expressed confidence in its potential to dominate the upcoming 2027 general elections, even in the absence of sitting governors. This assertion was made by the party’s National Vice Chairman, Senator Nazif Gamawa, during a recent press interaction.

Gamawa drew parallels to historical political victories, recalling how former President Muhammadu Buhari successfully defeated an incumbent without support from serving governors. He stated, “The people believe that a new political movement is the option, so ADC is the savior. We are prepared to make an impact.”

The senator emphasized that the ADC is not facing any internal strife and called on disillusioned politicians from other parties to join their cause. He criticized other political parties for the high costs of nomination forms and reassured potential candidates that the ADC would remain accessible.

Expressing his commitment to the ADC’s reformation, Gamawa, who previously served as the Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, assured that the party would prioritize fairness and serve the populace effectively if elected.

He also urged eligible voters to secure their Permanent Voter Cards and participate actively in the elections, highlighting that voting is both a right and a responsibility. Gamawa cautioned that failure to vote wisely would lead to continued suffering under poor leadership.

Moreover, he lamented that Nigeria’s political landscape has been monopolized by a select few and affirmed the ADC’s dedication to mentoring the next generation of leaders.
