Minister of Works, David Umahi, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu commands his utmost loyalty, second only to God.

Speaking to journalists in Abakaliki following a recent commendation from the president, Umahi said the acknowledgment of his work on infrastructure projects was deeply meaningful.

“The president’s commendation is worth more than a trillion dollars to me. It shows I’m on the right path and that God truly answers prayers,” he said.

Umahi emphasized the depth of trust Tinubu has placed in him, particularly referencing a project valued at ₦1.6 trillion that he managed without interference from the president.

“When a man entrusts you with so much and never questions your actions, betraying that trust would be ungodly. I’ve said publicly my loyalty is to God first, then to President Tinubu.”

He added that anyone who repays such trust with betrayal would face divine consequences.

Umahi also pledged to remain prayerful and committed to serving the administration, highlighting that about 30 major infrastructure projects across the country’s six geo-political zones are on track for completion and commissioning by December 20.

“This recognition is not just mine. I dedicate it to everyone praying for my success in serving the Nigerian people.”
