The Permanent Secretary of the Abuja Liaison Office for the Taraba State Government, Mr. Dauda Maikomo, has died in a hospital in Abuja.
The announcement was made by Dr. Ahmed Kara, the state Head of Service, who confirmed that Mr. Maikomo passed away following a brief illness.
In his statement, Dr. Kara conveyed the condolences of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, describing Mr. Maikomo as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to both Taraba State and the nation were invaluable. He emphasized that Mr. Maikomo’s leadership, vision, and commitment would be greatly missed.
Dr. Kara also expressed sympathy for the family, friends, and colleagues of the late Permanent Secretary during this challenging time, hoping that Mr. Maikomo’s legacy would continue to inspire others.
Additionally, it was announced that Mr. Maikomo will be honored with a state burial, with the date to be determined by his family.
