Former Governor of Sokoto State and current Senator, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, returned to Sokoto to a massive welcome from supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections. His arrival drew thousands from Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states, in a display of political strength.
In his speech, Tambuwal criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of leading Nigeria into economic hardship and insecurity. He called for unity among Nigerians to remove the APC from power in 2027, asserting that the current administration has failed to deliver on its promises.
Tambuwal also addressed allegations regarding his visit to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), stating that it was voluntary and aimed at dispelling politically motivated rumors about his financial dealings. He expressed confidence that investigations would reveal no wrongdoing.
He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to challenging the APC and called on supporters to mobilize for the upcoming elections.
