Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027. The endorsement occurred at the APC Stakeholders Forum 2025 in Lagos. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, along with former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode, were present at the forum.
Oba Kabiru Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, moved the motion for endorsement, which was seconded by Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. Sanwo-Olu stated that Tinubu deserves another term due to his fulfillment of campaign promises. He believes the message of endorsement will reach all parts of Nigeria.
Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor, emphasized the importance of continuity under Tinubu’s leadership for national transformation and economic recovery. Fashola delivered a lecture on voter apathy and the importance of engaging youth in elections. The APC Chairman in Lagos, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, announced a cash prize to encourage voter registration.
